I hate caps. I rarely use them. what I ment by my comment that a gay couple would not be admitted to the US, was AS a couple. not as individuals. Eve can correct me if I am wrong on my understanding here, but if one partner of a married (in the eyes of the US) emmigrates to the us Legally, the spouse is also admitted. but since the US does not recognize Gay marriages (a bad think IMHO) then that couple can not immigrate, taht does not mean that if they both apply for individual status, they could not immigrate, jsut saying that they couldn’t as a couple.
I was bringing this up in that I think it is bad policy for the US to tell tourists that they have to travel as a single person (how would it be if we had this rule for a mixed racial couple instead of a same sex couple). but I can see how those that want to keep the US definition of “marriage” as 1 of each sex coule raise a stink on immigration, but should not on tourisim.
Taz, the caps hater.
