And the award for 'Silliest Reason to Cut a Movie Scene' goes to...

Bennifer wedding scene cut from Jersey Girl

Disclaimer: I have no plans to see this movie. I don’t give a weasel’s patootie whether there’s a wedding scene in it or not. But he sure isn’t giving his audience a lot of credit here for being aware of their surroundings.

"Let’s see, it’s dark, there are rows and rows of seats, I’ve got popcorn, the floor’s all sticky…Hey, there’s Ben and Jennifer! They look really big for some reason. Look! They’re getting married! Cool! They must have kissed and made up!

"Waaaaiit a minute…don’t tell me…I know what this is! It’s a MOVIE!

“So, ah, does this mean they’re married, or what now?”

On the other hand, maybe he deserves credit for knowing his audience very well…

Could a mod move this to Cafe Society, please?
