Or any of the Jay and Silent Bob movies?
Or The Phantom of the Opera? You know, the deformed guy, has to hide himself from society (in a theater), thinks that only one woman can “save” him, and is horrified when she rejects him because of his deformity. Sounds kinda like the story of a closeted gay man to me.
The correct answer is still Kiss of the Spiderwoman".
Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure
Well, that’s just nit-picking, isn’t it?
I’ll have to go look again. The scene takes place in a hot tub, and the humor is that the one telling the story doesn’t seem to realize that he’s outing the other (who is rather uncomfortable about the subject). And it seemed pretty clear that the sailor wasn’t there just to crash for the night.
Another deleted scene is David meeting his estranged 18 year old son for the first time in 10 years who is totally into the new wave scene. There’s a deleted scene in the Fort Worth Zoo where Nigel talks about apes being “bread-eaters.” and some other stuff with Derek working out his divorce over the phone and getting a roadie to help him with the cucumber.
It can’t be- that’s ALL text.
I am partial to the movie “The Day the Fish Came Out” (1967). Two pilots crash land in the ocean and spend the entire movie clad in underwear or less.
Damn it! It’s not on Netflix! I want underwear-clad pilots in the ocean!
It’s an oddball comedy that could have been made only in the '60s. The two pilots scamper around the island in their skivvies, and are mistaken by the locals for foreign spies.
Just watched it and it’s Nigel talking about when he and David were sharing a flat and David would bring home sailors to “Share the hide-a-bed.” David reports that it was all in an “Experimental frame of mind.”
Meh. I don’t find movies like 300 to be gay. Just because a movie contains some buff men doesn’t make it gay. Same goes for a movie like Gladiator. Are Arnie movies gay also? If that’s you peoples’ standard for gay, then you’ve made whole genres gay.
yup
“Homoerotic” does not equal “gay”
Well, the OP mentioned “gayest movie”, hence my wording.
um … bathtub …
wow.
i need a moment alone …
We’re missing a whole genre. What about pirate movies, or just movies of ships at sea. That’s practically a cliche.
That and Midnight Run.
I haven’t seen 300, but can i ask why it is so often cited as a hugely homoerotic film?
It can’t only be because it features a great deal of hot male bodies can it?
