And the winner is.... (a poll)

Here in the California desert we have many visitors from other states and also from Canada during the winter. Now, I have nothing but love for all Dopers from this state, so I am NOT slamming you or your great state. But great googly moogly, does everyone in Oregon drive like an idiot? Braking at green lights, crazy lane changes, sudden stops for no reason, staying in the far left lane while driving 15 MPH below the speed limit. I’m sure everyone will want to jump on the “bash California drivers” wagon, but in your opinion, who are the worst drivers? BTW, Utah comes in a close second to Oregon, followed by Washington and most Canadian provinces.

I love you all, really I do. It’s just that I drive 100 miles a day in-town, and whenever I think I’ve seen it all, something else throws me for a loop. And no, I do not fit the mold of a California driver - I do not stop at every Starbucks and I don’t talk on my cell phone while driving. I have been known to put on make-up at red lights, but that’s about as bad as it gets. 35 years of driving and not one ticket for me.

So, the winner is…

This topic has been covered before.

Going by city, instead of by state, the worst are in Boston. I have personally seen a hearse cut across three lanes of traffic on the highway to get to an off-ramp.

[sub]And you should probably go with more descriptive thread titles in the future, too.[/sub]

I was actually asking about people from other areas who are driving through your neck of the woods. That is, if you live somewhere that people like to visit. Palm Springs is like the west coast version of MTV Spring Break mixed with confused elderly drivers looking for Sam’s or Costco. It’s a little city that has grown up, except for the fact that the roads weren’t planned very well and city traffic during the winter is horrendous.

Thanks for answering, though. I guess you were curious enough to look at the OP  !
