because last night,as I was attempting to silmouteaneously(sp??)throw a disposable cutting board in the garbage and shut the pantry door(so the cats wouldn’t get in there…they love garbage),I managed to slame two fingers in the door and now the tips of my fingers under the nails are bruised really bad (they are almost black with bruising)and tingle like there’s no tomorrow.Ouch!

I haven’t broken anything yet but I’ve come pretty darn close recently. Our cats’ waterbowl was just a regular bowl and it had a lip on it. Buttercup (little terror that she is)would regularly tip the bowl over and knock all the water out of it so she could play with it. I finally got up and bought them a round water dish with NO lip that’s VERY heavy (it was in the big dog section at the pet store)because I can’t count the number of times I walked into the kitchen,didn’t see the water on the floor,slipped and fell on my bum.
It doesn’t look like I’m going to lose the nails.It just hurts like heck.

The last time I did something like that was with a metal filing cabinet drawer, said drawer fully laden and at speed.
