Something I noticed in this morning’s paper.
China is trying to force their standard “patriotic” school curriculum on Hong Kong. The people in Hong Kong are a bit upset about this, and they’re holding protests against “Chinese brainwashing”.
A chairman of a pro-China group, Jiang Yudui, tried to calm the citizens down by reassuring them that yeah, China is brainwashing kids, but that’s okay:
Way to go, Jiang. I’m sure that will make everyone happy.
