An “anesthetized anus” (I hope I spelled that right) occurs when the sphincter muscle is anesthetized and thus ‘relaxed’ for certain medical procedures. I’m not sure how this is done, but the result is a cavernous-looking, wide open anus. Very interesting to look at, and quite different from the picture being discussed in this thread.
