I’ll admit to being a homer posting this, but if it isn’t Tyler Hansbrough from North Carolina, then they should abolish the award. Let’s see, this week he averaged 33.5 points and 16 rebounds per game against two of the top three teams in the ACC. Plus, he plays harder than anyone else in the country.
I’m not going to claim he’s the most athletic player in the land, or that he’s going to set the NBA on fire, but for college basketball, there is not anybody else playing with the same effort, determination, and will.
Anyway, after willing the Heels back from a 15 pt. deficit (14 with 5 minutes left in the game), and leading them to a double OT win against Clemson, and single-handedly keeping dook from beating us by 30 Wednesday night (even though we lost), I just had to put my opinion out there.
