I watched the first episode on my iPod adnd liked it all right but never remembered it was on.
For those who watched, do you recall seeing this guy? He’s a kind of buddy of mine and IMDB lists him in three episodes. I don’t remember a boxer from the pilot and I would’ve thought I’d have recognized him.
I don’t remember him Otto. Like you, I don’t recall a boxer in the first episode either.
There was no boxer in the first episode because they met Lew at a retirement home - he was in a wheelchair. In the later episodes they met him at a gym where he appeared to be a trainer. However no boxer is listed for Three Days of the Chicken although all the good lines are in the gym:
“You don’t laugh at a man for being scared of a chicken. They’re prehistoric damn it.”
“Transcor are into everything drugs, concrete, wigs but then they turned to chicken, that’s where the real money is.”
“More than drugs.”
“You can’t make nuggets out of heroin. Everyone eats chicken. Some, like me, for revenge.”
Pity. Last week’s episode, with the laptop, wasn’t great but this was showing a lot more promise than 30 Rock ever did in its first three episodes (episodes, I might add, that caused me to give up on it as being the least funny thing since Horatio Sanz).
I was also happy that How I Met Your Mother’s Ranjit had found himself a regular role…
I have watched all the episodes (still have one to watch on my DVR) but don’t recall seeing any boxer either - and I would have remembered a guy who looks like that.
Your friend and I share the same birth date - but sadly for me, therein ends the similarities.
