All kidding aside, it really seems like TMZ got really ahead of themselves on that. There should be a perceptible difference between a deceased person and a man who has had a heart attack… right? It seems like a case of Firsties gone wrong.

Eh-- after checking on his friend, Andy Rooney would view all this as fodder for another 60 Minutes segment. I’ve read tons of his books and he didn’t come off as cranky as some folks seem to believe. Grumping and being a grump can be two different things.

Sorry, I still don’t see anything remotely funny about someone going to mourn the loss of a long-time friend and pay his respects to the family then succumbing to the stress and grief by having a heart attack himself. My sincere condolences to both families and their loved ones.
