This is for those of us who a dreading the lack of good scripted TV in the fall.
Maybe in the fall of 2005 if Firefly does well on the big screen we can get a Buffyverse new show with some new and old characters. Maybe an HBO show with Holtz tangling with watchers and Angel and group back in the day. A Quantum Leap show with Giles going back in time to help Slayers in one shot episodes. A Faith, Spike, and Willow task force show like the A Team where they are on the run from the law and when they go into a garage they come out driving a magical blood sucking tank! The ideas are endless! Post your Angelverse or Buffyverse show ideas here.
Well, a couple nights ago I had a semi-interesting dream where Angel, Spike, and myself were scoping out churches to buy for a new base of operations (irony and all that, y’know) and accidentally stumbled on a nest of vampires that were using a church as bait. (D’oh! :smack: )
Well, there is that other Hellmouth in Cleveland…
If they go with this they can use “Cleveland Rocks!” as the theme song.
Now there’s a good idea: a Buffy/Angel/Drew Carry crossover extravaganza!
Andrew needs his own show.
I know that Connor was never a popular character, but I really, really like him and I would love to see a series about him picking up his dad’s fight and juggling his “real” life and his real life.
Please not an HBO/Showtime show… cult shows aren’t going to gain audiences if you take the shows away from main-stream audiences. And as much as I love the Buffyverse, no show is good enough to pay $144/year to see.
How about a time-travel premised show? Let’s say Dawn, Xander, Fred, Spike and a few other characters somehow open portals to the past, and “accidentally” stop one of the slayers from getting killed by a vampire (okay, so Xander does it without thinking of the consequences), so it screws up the modern world. So they have to try to go back and fix things, but as usual campy-horrific things happen due to their spiralling intervention?
This Gunn For Hire.
If such a show were on Premium Cable, Joss would have fewer restraints on time or content. If the channel were HBO, a show centered on one or more of the more evil characters would fit right in with their current brand of Oz/Sopranos/Wire/Deadwood not-very-nice-folks programming. I envision a show about Druscilla and a cast of colorful-but-deadly minions.
Perhaps something based on the Fray comic book?
Or has its story been contradicted by Season 7 of Buffy?
