*Angel to Close to the Ground * is one of Willie Nelson’s signature songs. But I stumbled across a version by Allison Moorer that made my jaw drop. 
Backed by two superb acoustic guitarists she brings this song to a whole new level. Much like Patsy Cline did with Crazy. Willie’s wrote it but he needed Patsy to make it a country standard.
I hadn’t heard of her before. But I’m a serious fan of Allison Moorer now.
