In an article on U.S. health care costs the price for an angiogram in Canada is stated to be $35. Even the U.S. price ($914) is less than a typical cost in Thailand. The same numbers are seen in the IFHP report (pdf) from which N.Y. Times got its numbers. I’ve had angiograms; they are not trivial procedures.
Does the number just refer to one part of the angiogram procedure? (If so, it sure confuses.)
