I’ve met Rowan Williams, and have read extensively from his books and other writings.
You’re getting a good one.
For those that aren’t familiar with him, Rowan’s (IMHO, at least) one of the great Christian theologians of our time, one whose theology is as much a matter of spirituality as of intellect. He’s the author of such classics as Resurrection: Interpreting the Easter Gospel and The Wound of Knowledge: Christian Spirituality from the New Testament to St. John of the Cross.
An easy intro to Rowan’s thought is the short (as in, you can get most of the way through it on your lunch hour) online essay on making moral decisions. Any Christians with brain cells to rub together (which would fit pretty much all the Christians on this board) might want to give it a look-see, if they’ve got a spare moment.
