I believe there was a running thread on this subject that Siam Sam began, but I can’t find it.
Anywho, it appears that elephants are born with all the hair they will ever have, and it just sort of spreads out as they grow larger.
What an adorably fuzzy little elephant! I love elephants, and the babies are totally squee-worthy!
Ms. Betts wasn’t nearly that furry. I haven’t been to see her in three months, but it took five guys to get her to follow her mama Amy to the viewing area on Visitor’s Day.
She was still trying to figure out what her trunk was for, and I once saw her trip on her own feet running back to Mama.
