My English Setter Sugar loves hugs and will ‘ask’ for them by leaning her chest against mine, head over my shoulder. When I put my arms around her to hug, she’ll raise one of her front legs, usually her right, and wrap it around me. She’ll stay like that, eyes closed, as long as I will.
My 2 Gordon Setters Nick and Kharma, would bout respond to me saying ‘gimme a hug!’ by standing on the bed on their hind legs and putting their front paws over my shoulders and leaning in for kisses. God I miss those dogs…
