In The Long Kiss Goodnight, everything gets started out by a guy who was disfigured by her, seeing her on TV and tracking her down. None of the bosses were in on it, and when they discover her sneaking around trying to look stuff up, at first they think that she already has remembered everything so there’s no harm in taking her on, then once they discover that she has amnesia, they only decide to kill her to be safe - which would be a good move if she wasn’t the hero of an action flick.
