My girlfriend is trying to get an annulment from her husband in the state of Florida. I’m fairly certain the State would grant it (marriage was never consumated, and the husband disappeared right after the wedding…it’s a long story, but has something to do with obtaining legal residency). Anyhow, is there a way to do this w/o using an attorney? There are no real assetts…we’re just trying to figure out how to do this in the cheapest manner possible. Also, is it possible to do it w/o the husband being involved since we can’t find him?
Also, if you get an annulment, do all records of the marriage get expunged?

Sounds like it might be easier to get a divorce than an annulment.
