Another anybody remember this cartoon thread

I hope I remember enough of this correctly, so here goes: There are three animal characters, let’s say a bear, a dog, and a cat. The dog and cat are always “at war” with each other. The bear is trying to get some sleep. The cat keeps making loud noises, which awakens the bear, who beats up the dog because he thinks he’s responsible. I don’t remember why he thinks this, or how the cat gets out of trouble. At one point the cat hits the dog on the paw with a hammer. The dog wants to scream, but knows he’ll get beaten up if he does. So he slaps his hand over his mouth, runs out of the house and up a hill far away, and then let’s out a scream.

That’s all I remember. Keep in mind that the characters could be other animals. I think the rest is pretty accurate.

Thanks.

Probably Rock a Bye Bear. Looks like two dogs.

The premise is not a unique one. There’s a Droopy cartoon along similar lines, specifically Deputy Droopy, which is good for a few laughs, even 60 years later.

Thanks, that’s it. Here is a more complete version. It’s as hilarious as I remember, after 40 years or so.

Tom & Jerry (Cat & Mouse) had a similar dynamic with a bulldog, named Spike, I think.
