In a way, I’m more at peace with Orson’s passing than I have been with most of my pets in my life. I feel for once that he actually went at the right time, if that makes sense. Not too early. Not drawn out. For once, two days later, I feel we did it right.

Yes, you did do right. I can tell you without a doubt, you did right. I’ve been through what you’ve been through, and I know it’s hard, but you did right. We forget sometimes that this is a privilege to do; it is a difficult privilege, and it takes much strength to do it. Thanks for sharing this experience, it’s helped me with two recent kitty deaths.
