Another Cockatiel question...

My cockatiel board had a member with a 'tiel who lived to be at least 33…I believe in Iceland or somewhere in Scandinavia, of all places.

My understanding of the life expectancy is that they can typically live to be 30 under good conditions, but captivity poses so many threats to them that the average lifespan is around 15, half their potential.

Mine has full on muttonchops when he’s busy preening. When he looks like this I call him Derek Smalls.
