Another Example of Atheists Destroying Christian's Rights

Actually, I’m pretty sure he types with his fingers, not his tongue. If I’m wrong, I really don’t want to use his keyboard.

The last time I did something with my tongue, SOMEONE certainly felt transformed.

Can you give an example of “atheists” making a big deal over a similar sign on private property?

Oh, Jesus Christ.

Excellent. Then please send me $100, so that I can put some of these banners up. I will even put them up in places where you don’t have to look at them.

You see, that’s one of the problems with putting them up in public buildings, paid for and maintained with public money. Then I end up having to pay for the Christian message to be put up. But I’m not Christian. I don’t want to pay for your message, whether I am free to ignore it or not.

Again with the Salvation Army. And again the simple reply is: not one thing the Salvation Army does is Christ-dependant. Nothing whatsoever. You could chuck all of the Bibles in all of the world, and people would still empathize with their fellow men.
Because even *monkeys *do.

People’s lives have been transformed for the better by My Little Pony. Placebos are nice and all, but…

In all likelihood, neither does your belief. But *we *have more fun in the sack along the way :stuck_out_tongue:

Mooom, when I shit on people, they shit right back at me ! It’s so unfaaaaiiir !

Witnessing.

Playing the martyr.

Irritating others.

Ok, it’s time to nip this in the bud. As usual with atheists, unless I graciously bow out, this thread will never end. ATheists must ALWAYS get the last word in.

No point in continuing this discussion. No one is bring any new or convincing arguments to the table. Instead, quite a few have only strengthen my perceptions that atheists have a deep anger against Christianity.

I also don’t appreciate the atheist mods putting me on a short lease while allowing many others to mock and flame me. I refuse to participate in a forum that caters to such biased unfair treatment. GEEPERS OUT.

God doesn’t exist!

That’s just what Jesus said, sir.

“Your insistence on asking me questions and correcting my mistakes and responding to my statements is un-Christian!”

That’s what she said.

See above.

You are entitled to your own opinion. You aren’t entitled to your own facts.

Bye-bye, GEEPERS. You won’t be missed, and your witnessing just made everybody tired.

Irrelevant. What matters is what Christians believe and what they do, not what’s written down in a book that until historically recently most couldn’t even read. A book that was written before they became powerful enough to indulge in such behavior much, anyway.

It’s promoting Christianity, an evil thing in itself, and is homophobic.

As for charity, you don’t need religion to be charitable; most religious “charity” is just propaganda meant to spread the religion anyway.

Christianity is baseless nonsense that has spent 2000 or so years spreading hatred and tyranny, bloodshed and bigotry, ignorance and madness, despair and suffering, genocide and slavery. It has worked to systematically crush all hope, all happiness out of the world; it is a grim, gray cult of guilt, despair, self hate and death worship. It is quite probably the single greatest force for evil in human history.

Compared to that, “nothing” is far superior. And regardless of how often you insist it is true, Christianity is still nonsense.

I’ve never claimed that atheists are loving people; atheists aren’t anything in particular. The advantage of atheism is the lack of the particular brand of madness and evil called religion.

Because religion is intellectually dead and never brings anything new to the table to argue against. And it isn’t “convincing” because your entire worldview denies the value of facts and logic.

Of course; years of being sneered and at harassed will do that. And Christianity deserves anger and hatred.

Except the mods aren’t all atheists, or even mostly atheists as far as I know. You just have a definition of “atheist” that amounts to “everyone who isn’t GEEPERS”.

I wouldn’t bet on him/her not showing up again.

I went back and looked for it but got bored; I’m sure there’s a post from a couple months ago in which G threatened to bail because of unfair treatment.

I don’t dispute the right for someone to have a closed mind, as long as there are some worthwhile ideas, backed by facts, closed within it. What gets my goat is when the mind is simply filled to the brim with unsupported opinion, outdated dogma, fantastical thinking and an aversion to logic.

is that the second coming?

Yeah, but unlike the Savior I don’t wait around a couplethree millenia before I’m ready.

Much of that anger is tied to years if not a lifetime of persecution and discrimination at the hands of Christians. I have had dozens of times where office discussions around me while I was fixing computers at that location have turned to religion.

Examples:
“I would have to find a way to get rid of someone that was not Christian”
“I would never hire someone from outside my church”
“How could anyone with a brain not believe in god”

I was told to my face by a manager of a pizza place I was employed by that I was ineligible for promotion because “I was not Christian” in front of 4 witnesses. When interviewed by the district manager, the two witnesses who were regular churchgoers refused to make a statement or claimed they did not hear it even though they acknowledged it at the time it happened. The other two confirmed my story, manager was fired.

Almost any out athiest has stories like this.

You find yourself a low grade outcast in workplaces, people are suspicious of you, people avoid including you in group lunches, discussions stop when you enter a room.

In workplaces I have rarely made any effort to conceal my lack of religion, with customers in my business, I avoid any such discussion.
