Consider “raise dead” requires the deceased has been dead less than one day per caster level and Roy’s been dead for well over a hundred days by now, it would be a pretty epic feat.
Maybe, but if you kill a bone golem by more “conventional” means, you’re left with a pile of formerly-enchanted bones. So they’d probably have to whack golem-Roy a few times with a blunt object first before they resurrect him.
The question that’s bugging me is: do resurrected characters retain any memories of their time in the Outer Planes?
Ooooh! There’s the Oracle’s loophole! I don’t believe they do retain those memories.
I doubt that raise dead would ever be applicable against a bone (or flesh) golem, because of its restriction on how long the raw materials can have been dead. Resurrection, maybe.
Also, there is no provision for either one of 'em destroying the bone (or flesh) golem. You might end up with both Roy and a golem. Silly, yes, but this is D&D and OotS.
Finally, based on this issue’s title, I doubt that this is actually addressed in any book. I certainly can’t recall a bone golem statted up… (though I stopped collecting monster manuals once they became mostly plothooks and maps with reskinned monsters I’d seen before). Certainly the flesh golem doesn’t mention anything about this.
