Another round of "that's the same actor?"

I had to watch a few episodes before I realized that Bradley Whitford, who plays Josh Lyman on The West Wing, was also the uber-fratboy Roger Latimore in Revenge of the Nerds II, as well as the scumbag boyfriend from Adventures in Babysitting.

My favorite role of his was Frank Holman on “Crime Story.” I never missed an episode when it was set in Chicago. When they moved it to Vegas, it just got too bizarre. Levine and John Santucci (played Pauli Taglia on “Crime Story”) added a lot of color to that show.

He was also in Altered States, as the assistant, and Seinfeld as NBC president Russel Dalrymple. In fact, his credits include Room 222, The Mod Squad, and Love American Style.

Bob Balaban also played Dr. Chandra (who, I would’ve thought, should be Indian, from his name) in 2010: The Year We Make Contact

Just last week, one of my coworkers told me he had the same revelation!

Years ago, I watched the movie Elizabeth. Fine acting all around, especially from the guy who played the Spanish ambassador Alvaro de la Quadra. This is a bad picture, but it’s the only one I can find of him; his accent was so perfectly convincingly dead-on I swore he was a native Spaniard.

Later on, I watch the fourth season of 24. Something about Paul Raines, Audrey’s husband, looks vaguely familiar. So I go and look him up on IMDB, sift through his credits, and then suddenly shriek “Oh my God” at the computer screen.

It’s uncanny. I swear.

As much as I hate whoring around in the same thread, I offer another:

Lucille Bluth (the Mom) from Arrested Development was the crazy chick from Play Misty For Me.

Hey, just yesterday I was watching *Big *on On Demand (shut up, I’m sick, and it’s like comfort food for my eyes) and who was Josh’s secretary but Kitty Forman hersself, Debra Jo Rupp from That 70’s Show!

Ted Levine also played Starbuck in the tv version (A&E? USA?) of Moby Dick several years ago - the one with Patrick Stewart as Captain Ahab.

Will Patton played the head coach in Remember the Titans, then was almost unrecognizable as the head baddie in The Punisher. Dad loves both of those movies and was suprised to find out both roles were played by the same guy. I also had to check IMDB during his recent guest shot on Numb3rs.

Speaking of Numb3rs, I know he’s been in other things, but just recently I realized that David Krumholtz was the guy who stabbed Lucy and Carter on ER.
