[From Rollingstone] Exactly two weeks ago, Trump, himself, was in Texas – to speak at the national NRA convention. Before the assembled 2nd amendment enthusiasts in Dallas, Trump said: “Your rights are under siege, but they will never ever be under siege as long as I am your president!”
What? Doesn’t he have someone to help him with English?
Trump does not speak English. He speaks Patriotic 'merican which has it own unique and irrational syntactic and synaptic conventions, such as the NRA convention at which he was speechifyinig.
Agent Orange contradicts himself in a single paragraph time and again. Don’t blame English. He’d be a moron in any language. I think he can’t concentrate all the way through a paragraph.
A friend of mine who lives in Indianapolis says the local news is reporting that the kid who shot two people at Noblesville Middle School has been stopped three times before for walking around with a gun. Why did nobody do anything about it before?
An MSD graduate who lost two friends in the disaster has committed suicide. While I suspect this was not the only catalyst, it sure didn’t help matters.
I can’t imagine not being killed when my friend was or classmate was. I’d be asking “why?” All the damn time. Plenty of people will come up with bogus answers-- it was god, it was luck, the student chose not to-- whatever. Those aren’t really answers at all.
But they should know that their friends and classmates would not want them to feel this way and maybe make something positive out of it. Protest and educate about violence in their names, share with others who have dealt with the same feelings. There must be tons of people who have PTSD or something close in all the school shootings. They can probably help each other.
And this comment concerns me, just as the constant wishing for or encouragement of rape in prison for certain inmates. Once the court has ordered a custodial sentence, then it is incumbent on the government to ensure the safety of all of the state’s charges, no matter the crime.
I understand why many victims’ families are disappointed with the life sentences, I think this might be a rare chance to get a young shooter punished and maybe we could learn more about the mindset when he’s older. Hoping. Maybe.
