I realize that this article was written about 17 years ago, but I’ve finally witnessed a similar event. During this past week, ESPN (on Cablevision in Morris County, NJ) had a set of numbers and letters printed over the actual broadcast. These were printed in white, and while they changed periodically, they were mostly appearing in the center of the screen. The only set of numbers I wrote down were CB4004 B40.
Its not quite the same as
but perhaps its enough to get the Justice Department to reconsider an investigation.
I should point out that both ESPN and ABC (who broadcasted Moonlighting) are owned by the same company. Coincidence?
