Another TV chain game

if
22) is John Cage
then
23) Peter McNichol (sp?)
24) Numb3rs
25) Judd Hirsch
26) Taxi
27) Latka’s wife? maybe?

Probably…

Then that would be

Carol Kane

Late 80s? Latest 80s movie I can think of that she was in is Scrooged…

Wait, I’m a dingbat.

I bet it would be a much smarter move to say that she was in The Princess Bride…

then
27) Carol Kane
and
28) The Princess Bride

That was fun! And now I won’t be spending the entire night trying to remember David Cross…

That was fun!
Thanks tdn
Do another?

Sure, but maybe someone else can come up with one? Or give me a day or two to put one together.

If you make one up yourself, keep these things in mind:

-I like the last question to reference the first.

-Don’t get too obscure – you can see how hard it is to solve as it is.

I think I’ll work on one, but it will probably be tomorrow morning before I post it (it’s getting late here).

It’s a short one, because these are not easy to write! Trying to get it to go in a circle was a challenge, especially since… well, I’ll explain after. I don;t think it’s very difficult at all…

  1. Name a show currently in its second season.

  2. One of the characters befriended a mean neighbor. What was the neighbor’s name?

  3. In what show did she have a recurring role until her character’s death?

  4. Who was the original writer of that show?

  5. The answer to 5 wrote a major movie with a theme similar to the answer to 4. What movie?

  6. What actor appeared in both the show and the movie?

  7. The answer to 7 had a guest appearance in a show once headed by another actor who appeared in that same movie. What show?

  8. Who took over the position once the show’s star left?

  9. He had a very brief role in a movie co-starring another cast member of the same show. What movie?

  10. Who was the star of the movie?

  11. He did the voice of a cartoon character. What character?

  12. A veteran actor also did a voice in the first film. Name him.

  13. The actor had a regular role on a relatively short lived series. What show?

  14. In the second season of the show, an actor briefly joined the cast, which included his real life wife. Name him.

  15. Who is his wife?

  16. What show does she currently appear in?

I’m guessing this is Lost, but that’s about as far as I’ve gotten.

…Except for a suspicion that the cartoon movie sequals mentioned in #11 and 12 are the Shrek movies, though I don’t know where I’d go from there.

I’ll save you the agony. The show isn’t Lost

Is it Desperate Housewives? If so than 2 is Betty Applewhite (Alfre Woodard).

Desperate Housewives is correct. Alfre Woodard is not. (Think season 1.)

I got the beginning, now working backward from my knowledge of that:

  1. Desperate Housewives

  2. Mrs. Huber

. . .
12. A veteran actor also did a voice in the first film. Name him.

Robert Guillaume

  1. The actor had a regular role on a relatively short lived series. What show?

Sports Night

  1. In the second season of the show, an actor briefly joined the cast, which included his real life wife. Name him.

William H. Macy

  1. Who is his wife?

Felicity Huffman

  1. What show does she currently appear in?

Desperate Housewives

#5 is confusing me - should it refer to #3, not #4?

Sorry - yes, it should say “The answer to 4 wrote a major movie with a theme similar to the answer to 3. What movie?”

I deleted a question along the way and forgot to fix my references.

But, you’re on the exact right track aside from the missing 2

Gah, it’s 1:30 am, my brain is fried/

That was supposed to say “Missing few, and the answer to 2 is not correct.”

If you fix the answer to 2, it will probably make the rest much easier.

Before I go to bed, I’ll leave a spoilered clue for question 2, as it might be too difficult…

The mean neighbor “fell” sick and was helped by one of the housewives. She also gave the housewife an expensive thank you gift

Okay, I think I got that now then. Thanks.

Karen McCluskey (Kathryn Joosten) played Delores Landingham in West Wing. Originally written by creator Aaron Sorkin…

And I think I’m done for now. Anyone else have a good idea for the rest?
