Yes, we’re still interested. Right now the impression I have is that both Greece and the EU are just kicking the can down the road. While you can do this for a while; you can’t do it permanently–especially if there is another economic downturn.
You are putting words in his mouth, some of which are not true. The other Eurozone countries did not “generously” offer to bail out Greece. They did it in their own self-interest.
Well I would say it is both generous and in their own self-interest, and that either term alone would be misleading.
If I help a neighbour put out a fire, there’s a degree of self-interest there, as if his house burns down mine will at least be damaged. But I’ve nevertheless helped my neighbour out a lot, and by doing something I would prefer to have not needed to do.
