I ran into the local grocery store to buy a box of sodas. When the clerk rang up the purchase, I discovered that the sodas were on anti-sale. The terms of the anti-sale were “buy two, get one free” and an increase in the unit price to $5.99, which is something like the MSRP, and considerably higher than the normal price. Who dreams up stuff like this? Darth Vader, retail marketing consultant? "I am altering the deal. Pray I don’t alter it any further. "
It works far better than you can imagine.
