real site or spoof?
http://antispore.com/
I know the guy who created it on another board. He’s called The Believer (actually he had his account merged with another called The Believer Returns after he came back from vacation… yeah). He reads like a parody, but then again, so do some of the people on this board on occasion. He’s over the top but believable, but only due to the fact that Jack Chick and the Phelps have a similar fervor. If I had to guess I’d say he and this website are a sort of strawman/satire, but don’t quote me on that.
Dammit, now the bible is Rickrolling us!
That’s not right. I’m positive I saw a fundamentalist Christian protesting with a sign saying “GOD HATES FADS!”
This is hilarious all by itself.
Yeah, I’m thinking parody.
Well of course, God made everything perfect on the first try, including terrible internet memes!
Ha, I thought this was gonna be another pop at Spore’s DRM.
I’m quite surprised at the lack of ‘anti-evolution’ backlash, actually. Although I suppose they’re not really the types to play computer games anyway.
Well, creatures in Spore don’t really “evolve”; they advance through you picking parts to design them the way you want. So while Spore may claim evolution, it really supports intelligent design. (Or not-so-intelligent design, if you’ve seen some of the messes I’ve come up with…)
Well, there you go. That completely disproves intelligent design, then, because if we were intelligently designed, we would all look like penis monsters.
I sure know I would.
Legend of the Overfiend!
I’m still not convinced that Jack Chick isn’t a spoof.
Besides, doesn’t Spore teach Creationism? Nothing really ‘evolves’ in any sense of the world. They are all designed by a Creator (IOW you).
Me neither, but I think if I just say “you know what? You’re right! I believe you” he may get bored and go away. ![]()
Gawd, don’t you read the ramblings of the troll? ![]()

I somewhat agree with you, but it’s more like a mesh of Evolution and ID, I’d call it “Intelligent Design with limitations” such as DNA points which force you to make (somewhat) incremental changes, but that’s kind of a cop-out, I mostly agree with you.
