Ants! Ants! Ants!

How did you solve your ant problem? Ant traps seem to be only 90% effective on a dry day, and 0% effective on rainy days. So, maybe I’m fooling myself. Also, I have some ant stakes to put around the base of the house exterior, but before I throw my money away…do they work any better? And, can they take the April showers?

Overall, I hate to use sprays. If I must, I will spray as little as possible. Thus, I do not want to pay an exterminator. Are there any good home remedies or over the counter solutions? Even if you like sprays, please share your experiences with me.

I can’t help you. The ant bait traps have worked very well for me.

We just did this thread in another forum. I’d search for you but am bad at the linky thingy.

It was full of really good home remedies that people swore by, give it a look up!

Thread from last week.

Grant’s Ant Stakes. Follow the directions and pour hot water over them and stir the gunk inside with a toothpick. Each and every one. Give it a week or two, they’ll be gone for the summer.

The important thing is not to overreact.

[Bush]“My fellow Americans, intelligence reports strongly indicate that Iran now has ants.
To protect the American way of life from these insects of mass distruction, I believe that a pre-emptive invasion of Iran’s oil fields is now our only alternative…” [/Bush]

Amdro.

Huh?

That’s what I bought (but have yet to install). I don’t recall the boiling water bit in the instructions, but I’ll give it a try!

Works incredibly well.

I’ve had very good results with Amdro as well.
