Grr this board software drives me nuts. Ok:

I have recently begun a weight lifting routine, a whole body workout 3x week. On the day after my workout, I am so hungry I could eat a horse, and nothing seems to curb this appetite. My thought is I should start taking a protein supplement. Anyone have any input on this?

I would say you have to experiment with different foods. I have found a couple of things. First if I do a long time of aerobics AFTER weights (about 2 hours cardio) it will kill my appetite. I also found Coffee (either caffinated or not) tends to make me a lot less hungry.

I have also found if I eat ANYTHING with sugar in it directly after my workouts I get so hungry. A candy bar will make me want to eat an entire pie.

If you are conserned about weight gain, eat things that are bulky. You got to try different things as nothing works for everyone.

The protein is a good idea to start with. Also see what happens if you very your workout. I found working out later in the night helps me. Some like the morning as they go to work and then they can’t munch as they are too busy working.
