1 For instance, in British English I believe someone from Argentina is called an “Argentine” (pronounced Ar-jen-tie-n), whereas most Americans would call that person an “Argentinian” (pronounced Ar-jen-teeny-an).

I hang out with a group of Argentines… I’ve always heard and used “Ar-gen-teen” when speaking to and with other English speakers, or “Ar-hen-teen(suffix)” with los Argentinos themselves.
