What exactly is the Newcastle incident that is constantly referred to. I think it might involve an exorcism, but I’m not sure.

I haven’t actually read the issue in question (#11), but I think it goes something like this. There was a demon haunting some building in Newcastle, and John Constantine summoned another demon to kill it, but was unable to control the demon. Anyway, the reason this incident is always mentioned is because in the process, a little girl named Astra was sucked into Hell, leaving only one of her severed arms on Earth. Because of this, John was accused of killing Astra by the authorities and sent to Ravenscar Asylum.
He also brought a few friends along who were into the New Age/Occultism thing but didn’t really have any idea what they were in for. They went their separate ways after that and all eventually met their ends when John came calling on them later.
