I wish I could do that now. Just take my tv and my computer, my dog and my fiancée (not necessarily in that order) and just up and move somewhere else.

I’ve tried doing this a few times, but my wife ends up stopping it! I wish we could get rid of about 95% of everything we own, and just start over. Sure, it would be wasteful. Sure, it would end up being expensive. The benefit though is that we could get rid of all our crappy mismatched furniture and low quality junk and slowly buy some decent stuff. I sold a ton of junk before moving across the country and gave what I couldn’t sell to goodwill, but it still seems like we are haunted by crappy stuff leftover from college that we just couldn’t bring ourselves to replace with anything decent.
