Also called radiofrequency nerve lesioning. I have bad arthritis in the facet joints in my lower back (L3-L4, L4-L5). Causes moderate to severe pain in my left buttock, around and into the left hip and down the left leg. Two MRIs and a CT myelogram have not found any impingement of the nerves that could be corrected surgically. My doctor is recommending the nerve lesioning procedure. I am to the point that I will do just about anything to get my life back, so I’m going to go ahead, but I’d love to hear from anyone who has done this, especially if you’ve done it more than once. How was the procedure itself? How long did the pain relief last? Thanks for any information.
