Google has been no help whatsoever. I assume they’re German abbreviations, but am not completely positive.
I found the first German term I could in articles about neolithic Europe, and then googled KAK (etc) with that term to find articles that pointed me in the right direction
They are prehistoric cultures of Europe and West Asia that archaeologists, historians, and linguists are interested in. All of them certainly contributed something to the cultures, languages, and DNA of modern Europeans, but we don’t really know all the details at the present time. We don’t even know what they called themselves - these names are based on characteristic artifacts that they left behind, as if a future civilization 10,000 years in the future looks back on us and describes us as the iPhone Culture because so many graves of our people contain iPhones.
