Any good books about the Federal Reserve?

I’m interested in learning more about the history of the Fed and monetary policy in general. Recommendations for the layman, pretty please.

My suggestion. It’s not so much a Fed history as a look at the Fed during the Volcker/Reagan era, but it does have a section giving broader historical information about the development of central banking.

Thanks for the suggestion. The title makes it sound kinda like a wacky conspiracy book, but the reviews seem decent enough.

Any others?
