Any good no-carb BBQ sauce?

I’m going to try getting into ketosis, but the BBQ sauce I use on my chicken is keeping me from doing so. Anyone know of a respectable tasting BBQ sauce sans carbs?

I can’t imagine how you would make a no-carb barbeque sauce.

That aside, you should not be attempting ketolytic weight loss without close supervision by a medical professional. While ketolysis is definitely a way to lose weight, it is a very dangerous thing to do and can have severe side effects. Generally, ketolytic weight loss is only warranted in extreme obesity where the health risks of weight are grave and immediate.

And you won’t be eating anything with barbeque sauce (or much of anything else) if you’re on a ketolytic diet. Certainly not chicken.

BBQ Sauce
1 small can tomato sauce
1/4 cup Sugar Twin brown sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons celery seed
2 teaspoons cayenne

Bring to slow simmer in small sauce pan and reduce

They have a message board for all low carbers along with hints and tons of recipes

Be really careful on crash diets… Anything that cuts out a major source of energy in your body is going to have a number of physiological effects.

You can cause all sorts of damage to different organ systems… Brain cells only can burn glucose (carbs) and not fatty acids…

If you’re attempting this diet on your own, I’d see a doctor immediatly.

Becareful!

Honestly, the best way to get into a good diet is to plan out your meals… Take a normal week and figure out how many calories you eat. Just normally, to make you a nice happy full you. Then start making meals where you cut that by 5%… a week late, cut that figure by 5%… go down until you’re taking in slightly fewer calorier than you need to maintain your body weight… then start light excersize.

Every week or two, reweigh yourself and figure out how to change your calorie intake to drop another couple of pounds. It goes much easier if you make small easy to see steps.

Oh yeah, drink lots of water… lots and lots of water. (Buy those coffee flavorings, the sugar free ones that have like 5 calories/Tbs and use those to flavor your water if you get tired of it) Water will keep your tummy full, and make things a tiny bit easier for about an hour.
