Yeah, I did see a photo of a nook like mine with one of those candlestick phones in it (I didn’t know they were called that), and it fit perfectly. They’re bigger than I thought, too. I’ve never seen one up close, only in photos and old movies.

In any case, it’s built-in, not standalone. We use it to store our laundry soap and such.

O.K., but there are apartment buildings where people own rather than rent their apartments.

In the US, if you own a unit in a multi-family building it’s a condominium or a co-op. The term apartment is used almost exclusively for rented/leased units here.

Unless you live in NYC. Then what the rest of the USA calls a “condo”, they call an “apartment”.
