Inspired by a thread that had a link to this video. It has a distinctive string riff at one point (It’s 1:19 in, if my timestamp doesn’t work) that I instantly recognized as coming from the game Bastion, specifically the song “Percy’s Escape.” The video doesn’t have any info on it. Research has shown that it is also used at brief moments in a level (e.g. 5:10 in)in Shadows of the Damned, a game I know nothing about except that this appearance is not typical, and that it is bizarrely Japanese.
Any clues on where this part came from originally? SotD and Bastion came out June and July 2011, but as far as I know the companies are unrelated.
