I’m extremely liberal and I absolutely support the war, but I hate dubya and what I think are his real reasons for instigating the war. I believe he thought it would be a real quick, easy victory that would jumpstart our economy and make him look real good for the next election.
The reason I support the war has more to do with being an arab/scot christian. My mother’s family came to the US in the 1880’s because of muslim persecution of christians. Read The Sword of the Prophet, The Dhimmi: Jews and Christians under Islam, or The Decline of Eastern Christianity under Islam for more info. I know the evil of these people and their mindsets and believe that this war was needed to at least try to stop some of the financial support and sense of invincibility of jihad.
These folks scare the hell out of me because of their beliefs and their history. bin Laden and Hussein are doing what they are supposed to be doing according to the tenets of their religion. They are going to keep coming at us forever and ever.
It appears that the liberals who are for the war are confused; the conservatives who are against it are principled.
I just want the war over with as soon as possible. Come next November I’m going to vote democrat for the first time ever unless Bush decides not to run for a second term and they find a better qualified candidate. I wouldn’t dare vote green or libertarian because as Kang said “Go ahead, throw your vote away”.
