Any Mustelid People out there?

I’ve been a lurker here for quite a while… but only joined up recently. In that time I cannot recall any Ferret threads… there has to be fellow Mustelid fans out there?

Currently I’m owned by three of the little buggers… They are a great part of the family menagerie (3 ferrets, the cat, cockateil…cocketiel…bird, and a tortoise)

anyone else out there?

Calling Ferret Herder !

There’s Ferret Herder as the obvious choice, but cards beat me to it. I also have two lively cinnamon girls. I’m sure there are at least a few others.

Hey, I have two ferrets currently. A sable male and a female who started out looking like a chocolate but varies - she’s very pale these days. Both are about 3.5 years old. The male developed hyperadrenalism of the right adrenal gland this summer, so he’s on monthly lupron shots and daily oral melatonin.

Got to run, but I’ll check out this thread later.

I have to check in too.

I have 4 furry kids.

And to make a pet thread complete…

Pictures!!

Bug

Chewbacca

Little Bit (aka Aoibheal)

and our rescue ferret, Jesse

These little guys are the best thing that ever happened to us.

ahem

Haven’t you people learned by now that if you’re going to talk about your pets you HAVE TO post pictures?! I must squee! WE must all squee!

What do we want?

Pictures!

When do we want them?

NOWNOWNOW!!!

Upon revisiting the thread, I can see that Mgcklmoon knows the rules and has appeased the threadgods for us.

Thank you.

Now the rest of you…

No Ferret here, but: Hello eyoung123, be welcome. Enjoy your stay.

Good to see some others out there addicted to the furry little beasties

This might be a hijack… I hope not… but can you ferret-enthusiast-type-guys give me the low down on what makes these little feelas cool to own in your opinion? I don’t have a lot of experience with them… are they social? Do they like to hang out with you? Can you teach em tricks?

Whoops… figures, right after I post this I find a great discussion going on about it over in GQ. I’ll mosey on over that way.
