Thread title pretty much says it all.
Pensacola, Florida is having their ??? annual Sci Fi / Fantasy convention starting the the 27th? of Feb. Heard that 20-30K people are expected to attend.
Sounds like this event is starting to get big.
I’ll never make it to the big similar conventions elsewhere in the country but given that this is in the southeast I could see making it to this one.
Just curious if anyone here is going and what its like.
Probably not but thought about it. When I first heard of it I was thinking it was some Holiday Inn event like a couple of mini-Trek cons back in the '80s and '90s, but was surprised how big it is and how many name performers will be there (Colin Baker, several lesser cast members from Game of Thrones, Marina Sirtis, Nichelle Nichols, the MST3K guys, etc.). It’s not DragonCon yet, but not too shabby. (DragonCon is coming to be more of a cosplay convention- which I’m not complaining about, it’s my favorite aspect of it.)
