Any Northern Virginia folks studying T'ai Chi?

Specifically, in the Reston/Herndon area? I know this is a long shot, but I need some recommendations and the folks on my (much smaller) local message board have been no help!

I’ve been interested in studying T’ai Chi for quite some time now. Years, in fact. But between graduate school and not having enough money and blah blah blah, I’ve never managed to get around to taking a class. Well, I’m still in graduate school, and I still don’t have much money, but I am getting tired of just talking/thinking about this: I will not be in school this summer, and I’d like to find a school/class by then.

So, can anyone recommend a good place around Reston/Herndon for an out-of-shape, 30-something female to learn T’ai Chi?

One place I’ve found via the internet is Qi Elements in Herndon; of course I would go to one or two trial classes before signing up for 12 weeks, so I’ll be able to tell if it will be just me and a bunch of adolescent boys, but if anyone has info about that place I’d love to hear it. The only other place nearby offering T’ai Chi is the YMCA, but there was something I didn’t like about it … either it was too expensive, or the class was only offered on Saturday mornings (not good for me, if I intend to actually go). Or maybe the Saturday morning thing was with Reston Parks & Recreation? Anyway, I’ve already looked at Qi Elements, the Y, and Parks & Rec – I’m looking for other suggestions. And I’ll definitely consider going outside of Reston/Herndon, but not too far outside.

bumpety-bump…

I don’t have an answer for you, but I’m interested in the answer. I’ve been thinking about taking Tai Chi for a while myself, and would love to find a good class.
