I haven’t bought Feel Euphoria just yet, because although I love the last three albums, Neal Morse, singer/primary songwriter has left the band. The last album Snow is awesome but Neal wrote almost all of it. I’ve never been all that fond of his voice, so I don’t think I’ll miss it too much, but he’s quite the talented songwriter… So, has anyone heard the new album yet? Am I going to be disappointed?

I am pretty new to Spock’s Beard and I adored Snow. This one is… okay. Not bad, but its not an epic like Snow was.
I think it’s much more modern than their other stuff. It may not please you right away, but it’ll sure grow on you. The title track is probably the weakest (IMHO). Otherwise, it’s full of great musicianship (guitar takes more of a lead here than previously…the opener is pretty much a straight-ahead guitar rocker with an interesting mellow mid-song break) and real spine-tingling harmonies…it’s real good. Let it sink in…
