Any Ontario CA Airport users?

I don’t recall ever flying in or out of the Ontario, California Airport. Anyone fly in or out of it? How is it? Especially compared to the almighty LAX? Will be using a van shuttle in & out.

I’ve used the Ontario airport several times (After all, I live only 4 miles away…) It’s great, practically brand new, never too crowded. I’ve never been to LAX though, so I can’t compare, of all the airports I’ve seen, it’s not bad at all.

I flew into and out of Ontario, CA last month. Nice and clean little airport–easy to get to and from the gates. I had no trouble getting off the plane, getting my luggage and getting outside. The waiting areas are clean and have comfy seats and televisions. LAX is a zoo in comparison.

Have a safe trip!

Thanks, ** pepperlandgirl ** & ** islandgirl **. Sounds like a good change from the giant airports.

What they said. It’s one of the smaller airports around and I don’t recall any rotten times there.

It used to be a bit weirdsville when the airplane parked on the tarmac and you walked down the staircase and into a trailer. It didn’t feel like the most official of arrivals. Baggage pickup was a real hassle. Since the redesign, however, things there have been great. It’s pretty straightforward, but if you have a late-ish flight (after 9), most of the newstands and things are closed, so bring your own magazines.

Yeah, I use Ontario airport all the time. An interesting bit of trivia about ONT: They’re able to call themselves an “international” airport only because a shipping company flies into Mexico every once in a while. I read this in the San Bernardino Sun a few years ago so that may have changed.

Anyway, I like the airport.

When compared against LAX, Ontario wins hands down. It’s cheaper to park there, it’s smaller and easier to get around, the access to and from the airport is MUCH easier than LAX, and in my experience, the delays are fewer and shorter.

Of course, there IS a down-side: You’re in Ontario. Ever been to Ontario?
