Any Personal Trainers/Nutritionalists out there who can help answer these questions?

the point at which you begin to overtrain depends on your nutrition and how much sleep you get. even without steroids i could do almost 20 hours per week of exercise this summer because i basically slept the rest of the day and ate all the time, including about twice during the night.

without much sleep, protein or during-workout shakes i would probably start overtraining at about 5 hours per week

For the average guy who works, can only sleep 7-8 hours a night, has a social life, and doesn’t use steroids, it’s best to keep workouts short (45-60 minutes) and never go more than two days in a row with intense workouts.
