Any Photoshop 5 LE users?

I wanted to get started in Photoshop, but didn’t want to cough up several hundred dollars to buy the current version only to find that I didn’t like it. So off I go to Ebay where I find several “unregistered” (from the pictures of the software, I’m guessing these may have come from prepackaged PCs and hopefully aren’t bootlegs!) copies of Photoshop 5 LE (limited edition) for $50. I bid on and won a copy (which should be arriving any day).

I know there are some PS users here and wanted to get some opinions and/or tips. I have found several online sites dedicated to the software and even picked up the Dummies book. These resources are okay, but I’d like to hear responses from “real life” users.

I use it. It came bundled with my scanner along with OCR software.

I use Photoshop 5.5 (full version) but it should be similar to the LE. If I can help you at all, let me know. My email is in my profile.

Photoshop can be scary at first but it is a fantastic program once you get over your fear.
