Help! I need to put a new dip tube into my water heater. I have a 35 gallon tank (Canadian) and I ended up getting a tube (23") that is for a 33 gallon tank.
I went back today to exchange it and they don’t have one for a 35 gallon tank so gave me a 60" and told me to cut it down. How far down in the tank should it go?
Bump…can anyone help Sue out???
I guess you’ve tried contacting the maker of your tank? I don’t know if all 35 gal, tanks are of the same dimensions.
Big help, huh?
Peace,
mangeorge
Whats wrong with the OE dip tube? If most of it is there, try and WAG the length. Cut long.
There was only less than one inch of the original tube left. We figured it out, it seems that with the type of tank I have, we needed the tube with the nipple. I later found out the nipple meant this metal thing that twists on the top. Sheesh, why can’t they just say it in english.
Thanks for your help guys!
